Dolphins are aquatic animals, and they are so big. It is a mammal animal. It lives in profound parts of the ocean; also dolphins eat a lot of food, especially fish and squid. Some of them search their food in parts nera to the shore. Dolphins are very intelligent animals. If people train dolphins, they can do interesting things. Somepeople use this animal for therapy. Moreover these animals are a friendly animal, and people can stay with them. According to studios, the scientifics see that dolphins have capacity to learn many things, they can do complex jobs, and they can vocalize sounds like words, among others. We can see many species of dolphins, around 32 species and these species has different characteristics.

I like dolphins because these animals are very intelligent and peaceable and they are the most interesting animals of the sea.

The Lyon

The Lyon is the emblem of the jungle, that’s why the Lyon is usually called “King of the Jungle”. It was the most abundant specie in Africa long long time ago. But its number has decreased lately; it was almost extinguished throughout of the world.
The Lyon generally lives on a large dry environment where vegetation is low and not very abundant. It’s a mammal and also a carnivorous animal; it belongs to the feline family.
The Lyon it’s a quite big animal, has short legs and neck but a big mouth, eyes and a long tail, the shape of his mane is great, I really like it and the way he walks is extremely elegant and his presence is outstanding. This animal has special characteristics that make him an animal with a special conduct such as: sensitive ears and nose, he can detect very easily sounds and smells from long distances, it suspicion makes him a very dangerous animal and makes his manner changes all of the sudden.
The Lyon is my idle because he has a lot of personality an has all the qualities a human being should have as nobility, patience, agility, courage, power, strength, intelligence, wisdom, humidity, curiosity, surprise and mystery.
It’s necessary to point out that its way of acting is unique because he has developed certain peculiarities which depend on the habitat where they have settled.
I don’t know if this animal has had an evolution similar to that of other species, I think that his physical characteristics and conduct hadn’t suffered considerable alterations among the individuals of his specie, because the Lyon was, is and will be the King of the Jungle forever.

BUTTERFLY

BUTTERFLY IS AN INSECT OF THE ORDER LEPIDOPTERA. THEY HAVE SOME SPECIALLY CHARACTERISTIC.

BUTTERFLY FEED PRIMARILY ON NECTAR FROM FLOWERS. SOME ALSO DERIVE NOURISHMENT FROM POLLEN, TREE AND SAP. BUTTERFLIES PLAY AN IMPORTANT ECOLOGIC ROLE AS POLLINATORS.

THEY LIVE IN DIFFERENT CLIMATE AROUND THE WORLD. BUTTERFLIES HAVE DIFFERENT CICLES IN THEIR LIFE.

IN OUR COUNTRY THERE ARE MANY SPECIES OF THIS ANIMAL, SPECIALLY IN THE AMAZON REGION. I LIKE VERY MUCH BECAUSE THEY HAVE DIFFERENT COLORS. THEIR LIFE ARE VERY SHORT BUT THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL ANIMALS I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW A PLACE THAT IT HAS MANY BUTTERFLY.

THE TIGERS: WE HAVE TO CARE THEM!!!

The tiger is a wildcat. We can find them especially in the Orient, but we can find them in our country too.
It’s one of the most beautiful animals than exists, and that I’ve seen.
There are many type of tigers, like Bengala Tiger´s, White Tiger, etc.
The last one, especially be in danger, more than the others.
We have to care the tigers of hunters, who are the most dangerous to them. The hunters look for their skins, because they want to sell these around the world, these are very expensive.
The Animal Protection of many countries prohibits their sale, but there are a lot of bad people, that they can’t control it.
In a study in USA, they found that in 2050, the half of biodiversity around the world will be disappear.
In Ecuador, especially in the Coast Region and the Amazon Region there was a lot of tigers, type “Tigrillo”, but today, they are disappearing and few people do something. If people don’t help, this activity doesn’t have control.
Here, in our country, the tigers and other wild animals are sold to circus. There maltreat them, cut their nails, give them bad food, burn their eyes, and other really bad things. For that, we have to be alert, and notify to the authorities for help them.
If we do nothing, ¿who will help them?

The pollution....!!!!

In these last years the climate of our planet is changing. Climate change refers to the variation in the Earth's global climate or in regional climates over time. It describes changes in the variability or average state of the atmosphere over time scales ranging from decades to millions of years. These changes can be caused by processes internal to the Earth, external forces or, more recently, human activities.

The major forms of pollution are: Air pollution, it is the release of chemicals and particulates into the atmosphere; water pollution, soil contamination, reactive contamination, noise pollution, thermal polution,etc.... its effects become harmful to human health.

Some of the more common soil contaminants are: chlorinated Hidrocarbons, heavy metal (rechargeable batteries, paint, aviation fuel and still in some countries); gasoline, zinc, arsenic and bemzene and other. Motor vehicle emissions are one of the leading causes of air pollution and China, United States, Russia, Mexico and Japan are the world leaders in air pollution emissions.

Weather is the day to day state of the atmosphere, and is a chaotic non linear dynamical system. On the other hand, climate the average state of weather is fairly stable and predictable. Climate includes the average temperature, amount of precipitation, days of sunlight, and other variables that might be measured at any given site. However, there are also changes within the Earth's environment that can affect the climate.

Among the main climatic changes we have:

- Glaciation
- Ocean variability

For this reason we need to take care of the planet and we have a better quality of life. Is important that we remember that the planet is only one.

THE FROG

The frog is an amphibian. The major of these animals suffer a transformation during their evolution. When they are young, they are aquatics. Their bodies are like a fish and they breathe by branquias. During the evolution, the frog feet become legs and they started to breathe by their lungs, suffering more internal than external changes. Adult frogs are characterised by long hind legs, a short body, protruding eyes and the absence of a tail. Most frogs have a semi-aquatic lifestyle, but move easily on land by jumping or climbing. An interesting characteristic of frogs is that they have an adhesive tongue becoming an effective trap for hunting insects. Frogs live in different habitats, but most of them prefer the humid regions. Al though they breathe air, frogs can remain under water for long periods absorbing oxygen through the skin. Some frogs are adapted to live on the trees; others are exclusively aquatic and there are some of them which spend most of their lives in underground burrows. I hope that it has been of its taste and have known a little our friends, the frogs.

These are docile obedient quiet animals; they eat grazing, and their time life is from 18 to 20 years.

The dog is a beautiful animal, there are many kinds of dogs for example: the Bulldog, the Chow Chow, the Golden Retriever, the Yorkshire Terrier - Yorkie, Husky, Boxer, etc....

The species was originally classified as Canis familiaris by Linnaeus in 1758. In 1993, dogs were reclassified as a subspecies of the gray wolf, Canis lupus, by the Smithsonian Institution and the American Society of Mammalogist. "Dog" is sometimes used to refer collectively to any mammal belonging to the family Canidae, such as wolves, foxes, and coyotes. Some members of the family have "dog" in their common names, such as the Racoon dog and the African hunting dog.

Modern dog breeds show more variation in size, appearance, and behavior than any other domestic animal. Within the range of extremes, dogs generally share attributes with their wild ancestors, the wolves. Dogs are predators and scavengers, possessing sharp teeth and strong jaws for attacking, holding, and tearing their food. Although selective breeding has changed the appearance of many breeds, all dogs retain basic traits from their distant ancestors. Like many other predatory mammals, the dog has powerful muscles, fused wristbones, a cardiovascular system that supports both sprinting and endurance, and teeth for catching and tearing. Compared to the bone structure of the human foot, dogs technically walk on their toes.

Dogs are very social animals, but their personality and behavior vary with breed as well as how they are treated by their owners and others who come in contact with them. It is not uncommon for dogs to attack humans and other animals; however, this is usually because of lack of care or improper upbringing by its owner.

Dogs are valued for their intelligence. This intelligence is expressed differently with different breeds and individuals, however. For example, Border Collies are noted for their ability to learn commands, while other breeds may not be so motivated towards obedience, but instead show their cleverness in devising ways to steal food or escape from a yard. Being highly adaptable animals themselves, dogs have learned to do many jobs as required by humans over the generations.

The dogs are very playful and with people are very good but there are kinds of dogs that attact to the person because they are agressive. Many people think that the dogs are the best friends of the person, I think that it is true. I like the dogs because they are dinamics, friendly and very special........

THE PANThER

The panther is a animal fast and strong. lives in the mountains in some countries in europe, america and india.

In cats, melanism results in the fur of the animal being very dark or black in colour. In many cases the usual markings of the animal can be faintly seen through the dark fur, especially at certain angles in bright sunlight.

Melanism occurs because of a mutation or abnormality of one of the cats genes which is associated with coat coloration and markings. Melanism is hereditary, but is not necessarily passed directly from one generation to the next - it is therefore common to see ‘mixed’ litters with one black cub along side normally coloured brothers and sisters.

The panter is my favorite animal because is fast and intelligent and is dangerous this animal is very interesting for me but I have dark too.

In the colege my nickname was panther it is for this reason that this animal it is my favorite and by all the previous typical.

THE TURTLES

We know a very little about these giants of the sea!!!

In the oceans there are the largest turtles in the World. The turtles are giant reptiles and they are called "Sea Turtles". There are five different kinds of sea turtles in the Atlantic an coastas. Some weigh more than 1500 pounds! Sea turtles have been swimming the seas and coastal bay for millions of years. In the sea turtles find many different kinds of food, for wxample, fish.

The mother turtle lay from 100 to 150 eggs in a hole in the sand. Then she covers the hole with sand. The mother lays so many eggs because so few of her young survive. However, there has been a decline in the number of sea turtles. The meat of some sea turtles is very tasty, and many have been caugth and used in soup or "turtle burgers".

The United States goverment protects many wild animals by large areas of land called "Wildlife Refuges". There they can live without being disturbed by people. It is illegal to hunt turtles and people are not allowed to take their eggs or to disturb the adults. All this rules are necessary in order tahta these interesting reptiles may continue to live...

The Wolf

I like the wolf because they have all I like of the world animal. They are Aggressive cute, calculators and dominate its territory. I know for the internet the wolf have various colors some are black and white, with combinations of gold, brown and red. The wolf live in America, Europe and Africa too. Fed meat, insects, fruit and even fish. Living in herds of 150 to 300, Wolves are highly social animals. They live, travel and hunt in highly organized groups, usually of 6-12 animals. Each group has a couple whose dominant male dominates the female to male the other female. The babys-wolf only milk for a month and then eat lunch before digested by his mother.

THE BEARS

There are many kinds of bears, but the most beautiful, and sweet is the panda bear. The pandas live in the china's zone. Thanks to the plans for preserve this bear insn't desappear of the world. Giraffe is a beatiful and special animal

The Giraffe the tallest animal of all the species of animals, it lives in the dry regions and with trees dispersed, located to the south of the desert of the Sahara.

The male can measure from 4,80 until 5,50 meters and its weight can be until 900 kilogramos. The female are general a little more smaller than the male and its weight is less too.

The giraffe, only has seven cervical vertebras that are very big to sustain her long and muscular neck. By the great distance that it exists between the heart and the head, the giraffes have a mechanism regulator that maintains constant the sanguine pressure of the brain.

The tongue is long and it measures 40 cm of longitude, and it is very flexible; they use it together with the superior lip to pull up the leaves of the highest branches in the trees.
The body has stains of hair of dark color, located on a bottom of cream color. As the giraffe grows, her color becomes darker. Each animal possesses his own design of stains.
The giraffe ends up living until the 26 years in freedom and up to the 36 in captivity.
The giraffes make the sense of the hearing and of the excellent smell, as well as a very good view.
The giraffes non migran during the dry stations, because they get their food and most of the water that they need of the leaves of the Acacias. They can spend more than one month without drinking.

Shark

The sharks are characterized to be big marine predators with a skeleton cartilaginous and several lines of teeth in their mouth.

The sharks live in a means that the human can only visit: the water. Here they can breathe, to see, to hear and to feel a possible dinner.

For their reproduction the mother expels some ten breedings of 25 cm after 22 months of gestation and they can have 100 breedings for litter. The sharks can measure from 2 to 5 meters.

They eat seals, turtles, birds, whales, crabs and great variety of fish.
Of the 300 well-known shark species that have caused the death of people at sometime.
There are 100 shark attacks approximately a year, with 30 of them being fatal.
The classes of more dangerous sharks for the human are:
- Shark Blanco
- Shark Bull
- Shark Tiger

The sharks are fished commercially some they are simply fished by the sport, others for food, and some species for other products. In the past the shark skin was used as sandpaper.

In Ecuador people are killing many sharks cutting them her fins to sell China for a good price.

I chose this animal to say to people that the sharks feel also and they deserve respect.

Canary is the best bird in the world

I love canaries because they are always singing and their songs make me happy. They´re small and colorfull birds. I´d like to have one but I don´t like to put them in cages. They take a daily bath and they eat seeds, oats, apples, lettuce, brocoly.
They come from canaries islands and from others like Azores and Madeira.
When they are living in freedom, they live in trees and shrubs where they built a nest.
Before 1986 they were used like an alarm system in carbon minas because if there were methane gas the birds died before the people.

Canaries have been drawed since the middle of twentieth century like the famous Piolin of Warner Bros.


Their logiitude is between 13 to 15 cm and their longevity is 15 years.They are very happy and docile birds.






Only the male canary bird can sing in his first year of life.
Winter in the reproduction season, they need an ample bird cage an they have to be in fresh places an in the night they must be protected from the cold.

THE EAGLE

Eagles are large birds of prey which mainly inhabit Eurasia and Africa. Outside this area, just two species They are the Bald and Golden Eagles are found in North America north of Mexico, with a few more species in Central and Sout America, and three in Australia. The eagle is sign of dominion, for example in the antiquity in the culture of Aztecs; Egyptians; Greeks, romans.

My favorite animal is the eagle because in the antiquity it was sign of power of the old cultures. Also because the eagle has big wings and with them you/he/she can fly to many places, of there that I also like to visit many places and knowledge but about the old civilizations. Then I decided to study History and Geography in the ability of Philosophy.

SNAKE

I like the animals a lot. I have had and see some interesting animals but one of my favorites is one reptil called snake one reason is its capacity to hunt its dam you can find it in diferents colours and diferents sizes. there are many kinds of escpecies of snakes like are the anaconda, boa, piton, cascabel between others. The snake caracteristics to hunt are his poison and strangulation this second caracteristic is specialy used by the big snakes to break bones of their victims and stifle. We can find it with more easity in the jungle and you can see them in trees, water and soil. The snakes don't attack humans at least that be the case that they been molested. Some people have fear about snakes but if you find one be quiet and don`t worry....

The history of Che Guevara

Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, The born June 14 1928 commonly known as Che Guevara, El Che or just Che was an Argentine-born Marxist revolutionary, political figure, and leader of Cuban and internationalist guerrillas.

As a young man studying medicine, Guevara travelled throughout South America, bringing him into direct contact with the impoverished conditions in which many people lived. His experiences and observations during these trips led him to the conclusion that the region's socio-economic inequalities could only be remedied by socialism through revolution, prompting him to intensify his study of Marxism and travel to Guatemala to learn about the reforms being implemented there by President Jacobo Arbenz Guzmán.
While in Mexico in 1956, Guevara joined Fidel Castro's revolutionary 26th of July Movement, which seized power from the regime of the dictator General Fulgencio Batista in Cuba in 1959. In the months after the success of the revolution, Guevara was assigned the role of "supreme prosecutor" overseeing the trials and executions of hundreds of suspected war criminals from the previous regime. After serving in various important posts in the new government and writing a number of articles and books on the theory and practice of guerrilla warfare, Guevara left Cuba in 1965 with the intention of fomenting revolutions first in Congo-Kinshasa, and then in Bolivia, where he was captured in a military operation supported by the CIA and the U.S. Army Special Forces. Guevara was summarily executed by the Bolivian Army in the town of La Higuera near Vallegrande on October 9, 1967.

In Ecuador the football soccer is very inportant for old the people because this play many emotions, but now is begging the games for the elimanatorias for the Mundial Sudafrica 2010.The selection of ecuador play always in Quito because this city is the perfec sede and old the people say that Quito have a beatifull stadium and the climb is good for the players.
The selection of Ecuador played with tha selection of Venezuela but lost the first game in this year for the eliminatorias, but now the selection have other game with Brasil, this selection is the tetracapeon of the word and this game is very dificult for the ecuador but old the ecuadorians have fe that win this game and give goos luck for the players.

THE VACATIONS

I think, the vacations are very important in our lifes, because it is the time for the family and friends. I like the beach, because the people are very different and friendly too, and the time in the beach is very good always. I travel to the beach any time I can, I love the sun and the ocean, my dream is run a wave but I can´t surf. My favorite beach is Olón, this beach is next to Montañita beach, and I like this beach because is very large, and peaceful too, other reason is the weather; the sun in this beach is wonderful.

OPRAH WINFREY

Oprah Winfrey was born i 1945 in Mississippi, in the U:S: Her family did not have a lot of money. Oprah coul read and write when she was three, and she loved books. She worked hard and was an excellent student at school, but she left college in 1973 when she was nineteen and did not finish her education.


Oprah wanted to be famous and her dream came true when she found a job in TV She was the first woman and the first black newscaster on TV in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1977, she had her first TV talk show and in 1984n she went to Chicago and started her show called "The Oprah Winfrey Show"


In 1985 Oprah acted in a movie of Steven Spielberg called "The Colos Purple". After that she made other popular films. She did not have childrens but she loves to help other childrens and poor families.



At the moment people in more than 132 countries watch Oprah. on this Tv talk show, ordinary people talk about their problems and Oprah helps them.

CUENCA A CITY TO VISIT

Cuenca is situated in Ecuador, is a very cold city, and actually in the city is raining a lot.
Cuenca is a touristic city, where you can visit a lot of churches and museums.
Its cathedral, Maria Auxiliadora, is very beautiful and big. The cathedral is located in Benigno Malo Street, betwen Simón Bolívar and Sucre streets. Other churches that you should visit are San Alfonso, San Blas, Santo Domingo, and other churches.
In front of the Cathedral, is the Central Park, named Calderon Park, is a beautiful place where you can sit and watch people and trees. Around Cathedral Park, is the Goberment building, the Old Cathedral (that recently was fix), and Majoring building.
The only one city in Ecuador that has four rivers, is Cuenca. The rivers are Machangara, Tarqui, Yanuncay and Tomebamba. The last one, has a wonderful “Barranco”, where you can walk visiting old houses, and our customs, like women washing clothes in the river, this activity is very interesting, but sadly it is disappearing.
Cuenca mistakely is called Colonial City, has only 3 or 4 colonial houses, most of the houses in downtown are republican.

Hi...! My name is Cristina. I have a big family and we are all happy. My Mom is the more important person for me. Her name is Cecilia and she is very smart. She works all day. She has a business with my aunt, my uncle and my brother. My father is an architect. His name is Marcelo. His very special for me because his sensitive and adorable. His very smart and he like to draw and design. I have two brothers and one sister. the first is named Johnny and he´s married and he has two kids. He works in Banco de Guayaquil. He is a manager. My second brother is Marcelo he´s married with Anita an they have a little child. her name is Sofía and she is beautiful. My sister is the best of my life her name is Diana. She works for the General Attourney Office, but now she is studying in Chile and she is coming back in december. She is pretty and she is my best friend.
In conclusion, as you can notice, my family is the most important thing to me, and each one of them have something special. We are very close and happy.

Cuenca for tourist

Cuenca is located in the Southern part of Ecuador. It is in the central Region called the Highlands in a valley in the Andes Mountain ranges. This city was declared Cultural Patrimony of Humanity since 1999. Cuenca have the many attractions as the catholic churces, some of them built in the Colonial Times. Such as the Old Cathedral converted in to a Museum now.

Besides you have the possibility of visiting Historic Museums, Art Museums, Cultural Museums, like a Banco Central, we can also offer you the possibility of admiring and buying in some of the well presented in Art Galleries.

Gastronomy: In food maters we can see that the variety is very expensive. You can find restaurants and eateries offering you the traditional cuencano food, as well as international food. Among traditional dishes we could list: “Mote Pillo” for break fast, hornado (roast pork), cuy asado (roast guinea pig), llapingachos (potatoes pancakes). Also you can visit Baños and enjoy of the Thermal water pools and saunas.

THE MUSEUM MANUEL AGUSTIN LANDIVAR

The museum Manuel Agustìn Landivar, is a site's museum becouse have a ruins of three cultures, cañari, inca and spanish. Were discovered for accident in the 70's. Cañaris culture lived in this zone from 500 dc to 1500dc. They were agriculture people, were a brave race, isn't easy for the inca's conquered them. From the inca's culture, there is a wall, in good conditions, was made in the XV century. The wall was constructed in andesita stone, is a hard volcanic stone, inca's worked the stones, and pulish it. In these place were found ceremonial ceramic, with beatiful colors and design, like a corn plant. The inca's architecture isn't comun because they use nothing in the middle of the stones, but the results are espectaculars. The incas lived just 70 years in the zone but they left a big legacy for us like this site and pumapungo's zone. In the same place we can visit the first moulins in the zone, the spanish people brought at the zone this tecnology, inusual in this land, and lived here more and less 10 years before of the foundation of Cuenca.
The ceramic's pieces in the museum belong at the three history's Cuenca. You can see the rests of the inka's aríbalo, maybe from chief of the inca's. The ceramic of the chaullabamba belong cañaris culture, this ceramic is very special becouse is thin and its form is like a perfect circule, made incredibly without tecnology just with theirs hands, but is strong ceramic because pervive until now, in complete pieces that we can see in the museum.
The entrance at the museum is free, and the atention is excellent.

This museam it is located in the Huayna Capac Avenue and Larga Street.
This museam represent all history of our province and all our country. It is very important in our city
The Museam of Central Bank has four room in exhibition.
You can start your visit in the Numismatic Room, in this room you can see the origen and evolution about coins of our country after to the dollar money.
The you can visit the Religion Art Room. This has scultures and pictures of 18,19 and 20 centuries. In front of this room there are the Arqueologic Room. It is the most modern room of the Museam. This room represent the history of the people of our country specially in the Azuay Province. Also this room has information about Pumapungo Park, like introduction of this.
In the second floor you can visit the Etnographic Room. It represent the different etnias around of Ecuador. Also in this room you can see the houses of the Coast, Amazon and Andina Regions.
Finally you can walk around the Pumapungo Park, in this you can see the arqueologic ruins and inka's garden. In the inka's garden there are many plant of our region.

My Father work of the employed in the ofice of courrier called "Delgado Travel, My Mother work in the home make pants and T-shirt, I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters, The name of my Bothers is Juan, Jhoana, Vicente, Andres, Jennifer, Jhovanny first brother is Juan he work in The United States of America since seven years ago, the second brother and one sister they go to Spain since five years ago. My little brothers study in the school Jean Piaget, In 6th of basic. I study in the University of Cuenca in the Program of Tourism and gastronomy In the Specialty of tourism in the fourth year.

Cuenca is a great city to visit!!!


Cuenca has too many turistic places, for exmple, museums, parks, churches, restaurants, handycrafts stores... You can buy different handicrafs of the city in a place called CEMUART, it is located on San Francisco. Also you can visit the central park where you can find some beautiful buildings and the New Catedral or "Imaculada Concepción", It´s the most important church in the city.



If you like the nature, you can go to Cajas National Park, It´s located 30 minutes of the city, In this place there are lakes and a great fauna and flora. Another attractive of Cuenca is the food, you can enjoy of the delicius food and drinks on Don Bosco Avenue, Guajibamba and Raymipamba restaurantes.



In Cuenca you can stay in differents hotels for example: Mansión Alcázar, Patrimonio Hotel, El Dorado or El Inca Real Hotel.

Cuenca a touristic city

Cuenca is located in the south of Ecuador, its known as the highlands or Sierra. its the third important city of Ecuador. For the visitors its a heritage and cultural city. Cuenca was declarated for Unesco in december 1st, 1999 as the world heritage trust city.

All people know it as a colonial city, but actually is not true, because the churches´ arquitecture belongs to XVIII century, the mayority of the old houses have a French style which belongs to the Republican Period.

If you want to visit Cuenca you can do it in two ways. The 1st one is by plane and the second one is by car
