Cuenca for tourist

Cuenca is located in the Southern part of Ecuador. It is in the central Region called the Highlands in a valley in the Andes Mountain ranges. This city was declared Cultural Patrimony of Humanity since 1999. Cuenca have the many attractions as the catholic churces, some of them built in the Colonial Times. Such as the Old Cathedral converted in to a Museum now.

Besides you have the possibility of visiting Historic Museums, Art Museums, Cultural Museums, like a Banco Central, we can also offer you the possibility of admiring and buying in some of the well presented in Art Galleries.

Gastronomy: In food maters we can see that the variety is very expensive. You can find restaurants and eateries offering you the traditional cuencano food, as well as international food. Among traditional dishes we could list: “Mote Pillo” for break fast, hornado (roast pork), cuy asado (roast guinea pig), llapingachos (potatoes pancakes). Also you can visit Baños and enjoy of the Thermal water pools and saunas.

I'm agree, because cuenca is the best city of Ecuador for its customs, food, places and other things.

I love the cuenca s food, specially "mote pillo" some people in all the country can t understand why to "the cuencanos" is so important and necesary the "mote" in all the plates, I think that is delicious and for me is very necesary special for soup.
